About Us Gideon - An Unlikely Hero
During dark times people need a rescue. When sin abounds all around us - threatening to enter within us - people need a protector. When God's glory is no longer a priority people need a reminder. Sometimes we need a hero to lead us. Sometimes God chooses the least likely person to become that hero.The story of Gideon from the book of Judges is a timely study for our generation. God constantly resists evil and, when it is time for that war to be waged, He typically raises up a person to represent Him. Gideon was an individual that most of us would have passed over, but God does not choose as man does. Journey with us into a dark time in Israel's history and be reminded about the methods of God in bringing His people to a place of repentance and blessing. Then ask the question, "Could God use me in my generation as He used Gideon in his?"
